About Us
Our Story
Every industry, business sector and profession has thought leaders. They are the innovators, teachers, dreamers and experts who expand the boundaries of knowledge, share their wisdom and inspire others to think and act at a higher level. Esteemed by peers and emulated by their followers, their ideas radiate beyond their field and touch the lives of many. You’ve read their books, seen them interviewed in the media and watched their TED talks. People clamour to attend their workshops. Organisations pay handsomely to engage them as a consultant or to deliver a keynote.
However, not all great thinkers and experts become leaders and not all thought leaders achieve the recognition and financial reward they deserve.
Why do some thought leaders soar above the rest?
How do they create powerful intellectual property?
What makes them compelling speakers and writers?
How did they build their professional reputation?

As a young teacher, trainer, facilitator and coach, Matt Church became fascinated by the power of ideas, especially when delivered by great leaders. He wanted to understand whether there were principles, methods and systems that, if applied, would result in better leadership and more effective communication. This research inspired him to create the first Thought Leaders curriculum in 1997.
Twenty-five years and 15 books later, Thought Leaders has grown into a global phenomenon that has launched the careers of thousands of experts in almost every industry.
